For our Gold & Blue Magazine Fall 2022 design, I developed a concept based on our school’s commitment to Pope Francis’s seven-year journey toward integral ecology. The idea behind the magazine cover was to have a stack of seven books with green covers and an open book at the top of the pile with a tiny sprout growing out of the soil to represent how education in those seven areas will transform our school and help fulfill our commitment to Pope Francis toward integral ecology. I integrated the concept throughout the magazine, particularly in the president's message section and the main cover story, utilizing imagery of plants, rich soil, and shades of blues, greens, and dark browns. This cohesive visual approach bridges the CV’s design with the cover story, conveying a sense of nature to the reader and emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship.
